The busiest season for Yosemite Park is the summer months between June and August. Yosemite is a few hours drive from San Francisco and Los Angeles. Yosemite Park attracts nearly four million visitors every year. If you are the type of vacationer that likes to avoid crowds, you might consider planning your Yosemite vacation more in the late fall, early spring or winter time. Yosemite Park is open all year, but visitation drops way down in the months surrounding winter.
